OES2 SP2a issue when traversing a directory structure Posted on 03 May 2010 under NetWare (Updated 22 October 2010)

Programs such as whodidit may return incomplete and inconsistent results when processing a large directory structure on an NSS volume. TID 7005345 documents this problem. The server is running out of buffer space for caching file and directory information. The TID describes three tuning parameters which may be modified to reduce or eliminate the issue. When insufficient cache is available, performance will suffer and ultimately incomplete results may be returned to the requesting client. Unfortunately, no errors are returned to alert the client that the information is incomplete.
